Self watering planters/containers are great for any garden. You can find them in all different  sizes and styles.

What is a self watering containers?

Water is stored at the bottom of the container.  Some just store the water and the plants roots will take in water when needed.  Other systems have tubing to connect for circulating the water. Both systems should give you more days in between watering.

The best part of using planters it eliminates hours of weeding.

Planted Early Straight Neck Squash - 50 Seeds in a rectangle self water container.  Just planted three seeds.  The planter itself was not a fancy one.  Made a trellis to support plant and squash.  This worked out pretty good.

My Review: Kona Mountain 100% Kona Coffee

Watch out Starbucks, 100% Kona Mountain Coffee, just might have you beat!!

I tried the medium roast, to had a smooth, dark roast taste. Found it to be the same if not better than Starbucks. The smell just perks you up!!


Retail price varies, is on the medium to high end. In my opinion this is gourmet coffee. Well worth the price tag.


Would recommend and purchase again.

Just tried AVON Natural Banana & Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner.

This set is for moisture starved hair.

Shampoo was thick and rich, lathered up really nice.  Conditioner was also thick and rich. Scent was not to strong or weak. 

My hair feels hydrated with one washing.

Looking forward to trying Avon's Natural Shampoo line.

Our Visit To Firgrove Veterinary Clinic

Going about our morning routine, my five year old pup starts to scream!!  This is a sound I never heard before and I never want to hear again.  Standing there with his front leg up, dripping blood.  Not only are we trying to stop bleeding, we need to find a vet that is open on Sundays.

My fingers did some clicking on the Internet.  Thankfully Firgrove Veterinary Clinic in Puyallup Wa was open. 

Our visit consisted of surgery, medicine, follow-ups, routine vaccinations.  Found the doctors and staff to be friendly, caring, and willing to spend time with you and your pet.  Even when you normally go somewhere else for animal care.

Omaha Steaks - Filet Mignon Spring Rolls

Purchased Omaha Steaks Filet Mignon Spring Rolls for a pre dinner snack.

Prep time was really easy. Set the oven to 400 degrees. Place the spring rolls on a foiled lined cookie sheet. I found spraying the foil with oil help them from sticking.

They were a hit with both adults and kids.

My Review: Bob Mill's Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

 I have tried many recipe for GF Cookies. Bob Mill's Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix is not only fast and easy to make. They taste great!


This cookie mix also makes a wonderful small pan of bar cookies


Just add butter, egg or egg replacement and water.


Makes approx. 24 cookies

Purchased Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 22-Ounce Packages (Pack of 4) from Amazon.  Product was fresh, shipping was fast.

My First Omaha Steaks Gift Package

Our family received an Omaha Steaks Gift Package for Christmas last year. I remember thinking; this is an unusal gift to give. To be honest, I never heard of Omaha Steaks before.

Our gift package contained:
Salmon, Chicken Breast, Hamburger Patties, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, and Caramel Apple Tartlets

Each item was individually boxed and labeled with at least a quantity of four pieces. Some items were vacuum packed, potatoes and tartlets were individually plastic wrapped.

Meal preparation: Fast, simple and clear instructions

Also, received a cookbook filled with recipes and coupons for future purchases.

Shortly, after Christmas, we indulged ourselves with Marinated Chicken Breast, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad and of course the Tartlets. My family loved it!! The Caramel Apple Tartlets are to die for!!!
